Beat Driver To Stop Bus
An umbrella-wielding woman passenger beat a bus driver, Huzert Stinson, unconscious when he failed to let her off at her stop, Chicago police reported last night. Stinson, who is 26, managed to pull an emergency brake and stopped the vehicle at the side of a busy highway before he lost consciousness. The passenger, Mrs Willie Les Rogers, aged 44, was imprisoned on charges of assault and battery and disorderly conduct.— Chicago, December 16.
