Stylish George Now At Washdyke “The Press’* Special Service INVERCARGILL, December 17. Stylish George was sold by his Invercargill owner-trainer. J. A. Flynn, after his convincing two-mile success in 4min 24 2-Ssec at Waimate. and he has joined J. M. Bain’s Washdyke team. Stylish George was renominated for the Gore Cup and the Willowbank Handicap on the first day of the Gore meeting. He has raced twice this season, having been runner-up to Scotch Glen at Wyndham at his first appearance. Although he has not raced a great deal the Dillon Hall gelding has always shown plenty of ability. As a five-year-old last season he won twice and was five times placed and looked unlucky not to better this record. Stylish George was bred by Flynn, and he is a brother to a winner from the Flynn stable this season in Grin, and also to the three-year-old Frown. His dam. Smiler, was a Bruce Walla mare from Night Nurse, dam also of General Sandy.
