BUS COMPANY’S FARES INCREASED
Days Motors Ltd., who run bus services between Christchurch and Southbridge, have announced increases of 3d in all fares. The weekly workers’ concession tickets will now cost from Is to 2s 6d more. Freight rates remain the same.
The recent general wage order and the increases in the price of petrol were the reasons for the increases, said the manager (Mr J. Milson) yesterday. “Our overhead is increasing all the time, and there was not much else we could do.”
