Last Week’s Trading Starts With Small Turnover
Four parcels of shares and one of rights comprised the turnover on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday, when the last week of trading before the vacation began. Turnover normally falls away with the approach of Christmas. Dominion Breweries rights, following northern price trends, sold Is 6d above last Christchurch business at 275. Weeks preference lost 4d in business at 19s 3d. Buyers showed more interest in Government stock, but quotations were again easier.
