Russian Protest On Air Space Violation
(Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Dec. 16. The State Department today withheld comment on a Soviet protest that three United States B-57 jet bombers had deliberately violated Russian air space near Vladivostok five days ago. A State Department spokesman said that the Soviet Note had been received late yesterday, but there would be no comment pending translation and study of the document. The Soviet news agency, Tass. broadcast the text of the note tonight.
Norse 1 Sails from Hobart.—The 594ton Antarctic supply ship Norsel is on her way to Adelie land. The Norsel should be in Adelie land in seven days, and will return to Hobart with the 1956 French expedition late in February.—Hobart, November 17.
