PRINCESS MARIE LOUISE
FUNERAL AT WINDSOR (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) WINDSOR, December 14. Pearly “Kings and Queens” in the traditional dress of London’s barrow boys, attended as special mourners with Royal, aristocratic and diplomatic representatives at the funeral at Windsor today of Princess Marie Louise, the 84-year-old grand-daughter ol Queen Victoria. The Queen, Princess Margaret and the other adult members of the Royal Family were present except the Queen Mother, who has a cold, and the Duke of Edinburgh, who is in New Zealand. Princess Marie Louise’s favourite hymn—“ Rock of Ages”—was the only one sung at the service. One wreath was lowered into the chapel vault on top of the coffin. It was a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, white roses and lilies from the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh bearing a card marked: “In loving memory Lillibet and Phillip.” Princess Marie Louise, the oldest member of the Royal Family, died last Saturday.
