CANTERBURY CENTRE CHAMPIONSHIP A strong wind made conditions unpleasant when the senior, junior, and midget championships of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Marching Association were held at the Show Grounds on Saturday afternoon. Twenty-seven teams took part; and the midget section was won by Blue Star Taxis team. United Kilties won the junior section. In the senior section, C grade, Down■ngs Red Robins won. Marriotts won the B grade, and Gay Gordons the A grade. Caledonian, Gay Gordons, and Rochdale were selected to represent the centre at the South Island championships at Dunedin.
