LINER’S MERCY MISSION
(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) NEW YORK, December 14. The Queen Mary arrived today 17 hours behind schedule because of Atlantic gales and ■ a mercy mission that took her 117 miles off course. The mission resulted from a call for assistance f?om the Panamanian cargo vessel, Santa'Ana, that its master. Captain S. Tsichlis, aged 57, was suffering from a nasal hemorrhage. The Queen Mary made the run to the Santa Ana through heavy weathei in five hours, took Captain Tsichlis on board and brought him to New York for treatment.
