NOTIFICATION OF WEIGHT LIMITS AND SPEED LIMIT FOR BRIDGE WHEREAS it is provided by regulation 9 (1) and (2) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955 that no person shall operate on or over any bridge which is under the control of a controlling authority any heavy motor-vehicle which exceeds the weight limits (or shall cause of any heavy motor-vehicle to pass over any such bridge at a speed in excess of the road limit) for the time being in force and fixed with respect to that bridge pursuant to the said regulations. Notification is hereby given that the National Roads Board, being the controlling authority in respect o f the Tobins Bridge situated on the Reefton-Waipara State Highway in the Inangahua County, has fixed as from 17.12.56 the following weight limits and speed limit for" heavy motor-vehicles using the said bridge, that is to say: The maximum weight of any such heavy motor-vehicle and its load shall not exceed 12 tons. The maximum portion of the weight of any such heavy motor-vehicle and its load (including any equipment or accessories) transmitted to the road surface by the tyre or tyres which are attached to the wheel or wheels on any axle shall not exceed five tons. The maximum speed at which any such heavy motor-vehicle may pass over the bridge shall not exceed 10 miles an hour.
