Dollar Earnings Of Britain
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December 14. For the first time, Britain this year earned more than I,ooom dollars in the United States and Canada, the chairman of the Dollars Export Council (Sir William Rootes) said in London.
“If the important dollar markets of Latin America are included, our exporters this year will have earned about 1500 m dollars, or a figure roughly equivalent to the whole of our trade with Australia and the Far East,” he said.
Sir William Rootes was speaking at a press conference before leaving on Sunday for an extensive tour of dollar markets in North, Central, and South America.
