Disappointing League Tour
The form of the Australian Rugby League touring in England has so far been disappointing. The bright back play, which is usually associated with Australian or New Zealand teams, has been lacking. It has been announced by the team managers that the Kangaroos are willing to consider playing one or two extra games The Middle East situation has curtailed the team’s visit to France and at this stage it appearsthat the tour will be a financial failure. The estimated cost of the tour is £24,000 and it is doubtful if receipts will cover this expenditure.
