CANTERBURY BEATS WESTLAND
UNDER 15 MATCH Canterbury beat Westland by 30 runs on the first innings in an under 15 representative cricket match played at Hokitika on Tuesday. The best performance of the match was that of A. Waters, who took five wickets for 11 runs. Scores were:— Westland 91 (P. Beachman 30, J. Wright 20; A. Waters five for 11, R. James three for 21) and 64 for five; Canterbury 121 (D. Smale 32, A.
