APOLOGY TO FILM UNIT
Marilyn Monroe Says She Was “Beastly” LONDON, November 18. The American actress. Marilyn Monroe, has apologised for being “beastly” to the unit which filmed “The Sleeping Prince.” Shooting of the film, in which she co-stars with the British actor, Sir Laurence Olivier, was completed on Friday night. The whole unit was called together on the set, the “Daily Mail” said, and Miss Monroe told them: “I hope you all forgive me as it wasn’t altogether my fault. I have been ill.” The film’s publicity officer said: “Il has only been the sort of trouble that happens when artists clash. Sir Laurence was in a peculiar position—that of having to tick off his boss. For though he produced, directed, and acted in the film, he made it for Marilyn Monroe Productions, Incorporated.”
