Oven Fire.—About 1.50 p.m. yesterday an engine from the New Brighton Volunteer Fire Brigade was called to an oven fire in a house at 5 Renwick street, North Beach. The property, which is occupied by Mr Walter Gordon Burrough. was not damaged. Gift to Heritage.—A donation of £l5 2s 9d has been made to Heritage (Canterbury) by the Kaiapoi Singers. The money was raised at musical evenings and a concert, under the direction of Mrs Paul Watts.
