SOVIET HITS AT TITO
“Attempting To Split Party’* (Rec. 11 p.m.) MOSCOW. Nov. 19. The Soviet Communist Party newspaper. “Pravda,” today accused President Tito, of Jugoslavia, of attempting to split the Communist camp. The newspaper said a speecn by Marshal Tito smacked of interference in the affairs of other Communist parties and lent itself to the fabrications of reactionary propaganda. “Pravda” said that Jugoslavia was trying to put itself forward as the country providing the only possible road to socialist development. This, it said, radically contradicted the Marxist-Leninist tenet that each country could have its own methods. This was the first personal attack launched by the Soviet Communist Party against Marshal Tito since his visit to the Soviet Union earlier this year.
