Fine For Sitting Beside Negro
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 10 p.m.) ARLINGTON (Virginia), Nov. 11 Miss Faith Bissell, aged 43, a white librarian, was fined 15 dollars today in the County Court for violating a Virginia segregation law by sitting beside a negro at a public political meeting.
