BOWLS Conditions Ideal For Play In Manning Cup

The third round of the Christchurch Bowling Centre’s Manning Cup and Three Fours competitions on Saturday were played in ideal conditions. The fine weather had dried out the greens considerably and the hot day on Saturday made some of them very fast. The changed conditions found many of the players, who favour holding greens, upset by the change in conditions. There were many keenly fought games, but in some contests the margins of victory were large. Another round will be played next Saturday, but because of representative fixtures there will be no games on Saturday, December 1. Results:— Cashmere Green v.
