CAREER GUIDANCE CONFERENCE
NATIONAL MEETINGS IN CHRISTCHURCH
A conference of vocational guidance officers will be held in Christchurch on December 5 and 6. This will be the first time such a conference has been held in the city.
District officers and senior women officers from Auckland, Hamilton, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin will attend. Among the topics to be discussed are the training of careers advisers and junior officers. Miss C. E. Robinson, of Christchurch, will review past and present trends in the vocational guidance service. “The conference is a useful opportunity for persons from all centres to get together and discuss problems,” said the Vocational Guidance Officer in Christchurch (Mr G. C. Brookes) yesterday.
