Auckland Receives Biggest Share

‘The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. October 19. The biggest share in the distribution of profits this year by the Totalisator Agency Board will go to the Auckland Racing Club, which will receive £55.238. compared with £64.446 last year. The Wellington Racing Club will this year receive £50.387. compared with £59.763. The Canterbury Jockey Club, with £29.110. is third on the list. Last year, the club received £31.968.

The Auckland Trotting Club, with £24.997, receives the biggest amount for a trotting club. Last year, this club received £31.354. Second among the trotting clubs is the New Zealand Metropolitan chib, which this year will receive £22.733. compared with £ 26.368.

The basis for distribution is the same as in the last few years—ls per cent, of the profits is divided equally among the clubs, and the remainder in proportion to the total on and off-course investments of each club.
