SIAMESE AMBASSADOR EXPECTED
SHORT CHRISTCHURCH VISIT THIS MONTH
Mr Konthi Suphamongkhon, the Siamese Ambassador to New Zealand and Australia, and his military attache, Colonel Prapat Kuvanonda, are expected to arrive in Christchurch on the evening of October 23. They will go south the next morning, and return to Christchurch on October 27, when Colonel Kuvanonda will inspect Army facilities at Christchurch and Burnham. The Ambassador and his attache will leave again for Australia on October 29. The Ambassador, whose home is in Canberra, expects to return to New Zealand for the Colombo Plan conference in December.
