Officers of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Geographical Society were elected as follows at the annual meeting. President, Miss Nancy Northcroft; vice-presidents, Dr. G. Jobberns, Messrs W. L. Stewart and W. .1. A. Brittenden; chairman, Mr J. L. Hewland; secretary, Miss B. Johnston; treasurer, Mr J. A. Ross; recorder, Mr J. A. Johnston; committee, Messrs W. J. Clark, H. A. H. Gallagher, M. McCaskill. and Miss A. M. Wilson; councillors, Miss Johnston and Mr Hewland.
