Roger Becker Suspended.— Britain’s top-ranking lawn tennis player, Roger Becker, has been suspended indefinitely from representing his county by the Surrey Lawn Tennis Association. The official announcement, made yesterday, said Becker’s explanation for his failure to turn out for his side one day during the inter-county week at Eastbourne was not found acceptable.—London, August 17.
