DISMISSAL FROM POLICE FORCE
CONSTABLE’S APPEAL
An appeal against the decision of a police inquiry into the conduct of Constable H A. Sayer was heard in Christchurch yesterday before an appeal board consisting of Mr F. F. Reid. S.M.. Superintendent W Brown, of Dunedin, and Senior-Sergeant M. Thyne. of Dunedin.
The board will report its findings to the Minister of Police.
The inquiry held in Christchurch two months ago. under the direction of Superintendent D. Sugrue. recommended that Constable Sayer be dismissed from the Police Force. Constable Sayer is alleged to have been found under the influence of liquor at Sumner on March 24.
