DIAMOND HARBOUR TRANSPORT
Sir. —“F.G.C.’s” letter contains a visionary suggestion which bears thinking about. He asks if anyone has suggested bridging the harbour. In July, 1953. I proposed a Lyttelton harbour bridge. No-one made any comments on my suggestion then. What is going to be done with the car ferries in Auckland when the harbour bridge is completed?—Yours, etc.. L. A. McMEEKAN. July 5. 1956.
