Illegally on Ships.— Six women, whose ages ranged from 17 to 36. were fined in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court yesterday when they pleaded guilty to being found aboard overseas ships during the week-end. In all cases Mr W. H Carson, S.M., imposed a fine of £7 10s. and issued a warning that if any of the offenders came before the Court again for this type of offence there was a distinct probability of a prison sentence. —(P.A.)
