Formosa Rejects China’s Plan
(Rec. 11.55 p.m.) TAIPEH, June 28.
The Nationalist Chinese Government today denounced reking s offer to open direct negotiations with the Nationalists as “another lie of Chou En-lai” and reiterated its determination to liberate the Communist Chinese mainland. The Nationalist Chinese Government spokesman. Mr Chu Ilsin Min, said: “No-one in Taipeh found anything new in Mr Chou ■ recent statement either in substance or in language. In fact the statement is merely a variation of the theme played by Khrushchev. The purpose of everything said or done by the Soviet aggressive bioc in its current peace offensive is to bewitch the people of the free world, wreck unity among free countries, and to isolate the United States.”
