"ATOMS-FOR-PEACE” AGREEMENT.—Sir Leslie Munro, the New Zealand Ambassador to Washington, signing an agreement with the United States providing for the exchange of information on the peaceful uses of atomic energy. With him is Mr Lewis Strauss, chairman of the United States Atomic Energy Commission. President Eisenhower, initiator of the idea of co-operation between nations in the peaceful development of atomic power, earlier signed the agreement in the hospital where he is a patient.
