A PREFABRICATED SPAN FOR THE NEW TANGIWAI RAILWAY BRIDGE.—A steel truss span for Tangiwai’s new bridge being built at the railway workshops. Lower Hutt. The two trusses shown are being assembled base-to-base on the floor of the boiler shop. Two 78-ton steel spans each 120 feet long, are required for the new bridge, and there will also be a steel plate-girder span of 40 feet at the northern end.
