Situation:— A broad south-westerly airstream covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand. Forecast:— Canterbury and Marlborough.— South-westerly winds, fresh to strong in exposed places; cold, showery conditions persisting near the coast; weather mainly fair to cloudy inland; temperatures cold; outlook, show r ery periods. Nelson and West Coast.—Moderate west to south-west winds predominating; a few showers about the ranges of Nelson and Buller; elsewhere fair to fine; temperatures cold; outlook, mainly fair. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER After a frost of 53 degrees, the weather in Christchurch yesterday was cloudy, with showers in the afternoon and evening.
