N.Z. SKI TEAM
Practices At Mt. Cheesman
Canterbury ski-ing enthusiasts will have the opportunity of seeing New Zealand’s best skiers in action at Mount Cheesman. 75 miles from Christchurch, from August 15 to 22. For a week the New Zealand national ski team will hold practices before its departure for Melbourne. At Mount Hotham. in north-east Victoria. the team will meet Australia’s top skiers in the inter-Dominion ski championships in September. On the captain of the team. W. Hunt, the national champion, will depend much for the chances of New Zealand's success. The manager for the tour is Mr T. Latham, of Wanganui. The team is:—
Men: W. Hunt (Taumarunui), captain. G. Collier (Taumarunui), G. Coxhead (Dunedin), H. Familton lOamaru), M. Laird (Auckland). S. Lonsdale (Queenstown), T. McKeown (New Plymouth), R. Stokes (Stratford).
