N.Z. Dairy Expert In Japan
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) TOKYO. June 21. Mr R. B. Tennent. dcputv-director of New Zealand’s Department of Agriculture, arrived in Tokyo today for a two months’ survey of Japan’s pasture and dairy industry. His arrival follows the recent visit here of the New Zealand Prime Minister (Mr S. G. Holland), who offered to send a New Zealand expert to advise the Japanese Government on the development of Japan’s dairy industry. Commenting on his mission. Mr Tennent said: “I feel that I can do much to help. Conditions in Japan’s hili' country, especially in Hokkaido northern Japan, are very similar to the pasture land in New Zealand. Japan has great possibilities for grassland development.” Mr Tennent was in Japan last June studying Japanese fertiliser substitutes.
