Firemen Called Out To Snake
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 18.
The fire brigade in Derby was called out today by a woman who had been bitten on the arm by a 6ft boa constrictor which was gliding round her kitchen.
After 20 minutes the firemen got the snake hack into its box, according to “The Times.”
The woman, who also had a South American cannibal snake in the house, said she had volunteered to look after the reptiles till they were old er.ough to go to a zoo, but she had not expected to be sent a boa constrictor. The fire brigade committee is to hold a special meeting to discuss what sort of charge, if any. should be made for the special service.
