Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, June 19. New Zealand’s El Khobar, favourite for the Doomben Ten Thousand, appeared at Eagle Farm today with a poultice on his off hock. This is the result of two mishaps which the horse has suffered in the last few days. The colt struck himself during work on Saturday morning, and yesterday while being clipped he was again in trouble with the same leg. His trainer, R. W. Roden, said the poulticing was precautionary and he hoped there would be no complications. El Khobar is expected to start in the Lightning Handicap over five furlongs at Eagle Farm on Saturday. He will be ridden by N. Sellwood. The latest betting order is:— DOOMBEN TEN THOUSAND, Seven furlongs less 96 yards. Run July 7. Kingster, El Khobar. Cracsley. King's Fair, Star Realm.
