Union And Service Agree DELAYED ACCOUNTS TO BE GIVEN . (New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 12. Delayed broadcasts, beginning not earlier than 5.30 p.m. on the day of the match, are to be given of the provincial games of the Springbok tour. This agreement was announced tonight after the chairman of the executive committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union (Mr C. S. Hogg) and Mr J. N. Millard, a member of the council, had had a discussion with the Minister in charge of Broadcasting (Mr R. M. Algie). The announcement, 'which had the concurrence of the Minister, was made by Mr Hogg, who said: "We met the Minister and the Director of Broadcasting (Mr W. Yates), and we had a full, free, and friendly discussion. We reached an agreement by which the public win hear the provincial matches as well as the tests and the university and Maori games. ‘‘lt was agreed that the coverage of the provincial matches would be given by delayed broadcasts, but that these broadcasts would not begin earlier than 5.30 p.m. on the day of the match.

‘‘As already announced, the four tests and the university and Maori games will be linked for national broadcasts simultaneously with the game.”

Mr Yates said later that the delayed broadcast of the match against North Auckland at Whangarei tomorrow would be from 6 p.m. on the YA and YZ stations.

(New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 12. The Springbok-Waikato broadcast last Saturday cost the Auckland Rugby Union £225 in club gates, said Mr T. H. Pearce, chairman of th? Auckland union's management committee, tonight. The union took £lO4 12s 9d at Eden Park and £2O 19s at the Show Grounds—a total of £125 Ils 9d. "The average taking to date.” Mr Pearce said, “has been £350.” Auckland enthusiasts, it was said, stayed at home to listen to the broadcast from station IXH. Hamiltj i. instead of attending club matches in Auckland.
