JUDGES AGREE IN BOXING BOUT
Johnny Cooper (Australia) received the votes of both judges in his bout with Barney Shaw in the boxing fixture at the Repertory Theatre on Monday evening. The referee (Mr E. Pocock) recorded his vote for Shaw. The decision was not, as reported in “The Press” yesterday, a split decision. as both judges had agreed on Cooper as the winner. Mr 'Pocock’s vote, in effect, had no bearing on the outcome of the bout and need not have been given.
