Extra Ship For N.Z. Meat Exports
(Special Correspondent N.Z.P.Aj LONDON. June 11. The number of ships available in New Zealand during July to load meat for Britain has been reduced by the delay in discharge of overseas vessels on the New Zealand coast. The New Zealand overseas shipping lines say that they have arranged for an extra ship to be provided. She is the Paparoa. which, after discharging cargo in Sydney and Brisbane, is due to sail on July 7 from Australia for Auckland in ballast, arriving on July 11 After loading meat in New Zealand she is due to sail for England on July 31.
JVorld’s Largest Car.— Mr J. Lemon Burton, a former London racing motorjut is sending the “largest car in the world.” a 20ft seven-seater Bugatti, to an American collector of vintage [cars. It was one of seven models built in 1930 at a cost of £ 7000 each. Only two of the seven remain in Europe—the one which Mr Burton has sold and one kept by the, Bugatti family The rest are already in America.— London, June 11. •
