N.Z. WOMEN’S TEAM WINS AGAIN

(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) BRISBANE. June 11. New Zealand beat Queensland 4-1 in the game between the New Zealand women's team and Queensland today. The ground was very fast and the weather warm. From the bully off New Zealand attacked but could not capitalise on penalty corners. A pass from Cadigan sent the forwards away, but sticks cost the goal. Play moved down to the Queensland goal where Loachinann scored. The game again settled in New Zealand territory, but the forwards lost the opportunity through poor shooting. B. Burton followed it in to equalise the score at 1-aIL , , Good Movements by Queensland Several good attacking movements by. Queensland were stopped by the fullbacks and the New Zealand forwards pressed until N. Collins followed through to score New Zealand 2. Queensland 1 attacked in the second spell, but offside play by D. Welch gave J Fraser a free hit. N. Warm, _ the left wing, took the ball to the circle where Gwenda Weir stopped her N. Collins accepted and goaled for New Zealand to make the score 3-1. New Zealand had several attempts at goal, but goalkeeper Otto £ penalty corner was lost and Vai Browne.
