Social Services Reciprocity
(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, June 11. Sweden and Britain today concluded a reciprocal agreement on Social Security. Under it, British families residing in Sweden will qualify for Swedish family allowances. British tourists in Sweden will be entitled to full Swedish health services—just as tourists from Norway, Denmark, and Finland are already. The agreement also covers cash benefits for unemployment, sickness, maternity, old age, industrial injury and for orphans and widows. Sweden is the first country outside the Commonwealth to offer full reciprocity with the British Health Services.
