THE POWER SHORTAGE
Sir, —The M.E.D. does make me laugh. It says turn off your water heater at 7 a.m.—7 a.m. and 11 degrees!
Why, not even the milkman is up then on Sundays, only the four-year-olds, perhaps I do not suppose the committee themselves obey that one. Please ask the M.E.D. to make it 10 a.m. on Sundays; then the toilers can lie abed with a clear conscience.— Yours, etc.. SOMNUS. June 11, 1956.
