NEW RANNERDALE HOME
REQUEST FOR WOMEN’S ACCOMMODATION Provision is to be made for former servicewomen in the new Rannerdale Home, but a final decision has been delayed until it can be ascertained whether an old house on the property could be used for the purpose, the New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board has advised the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association. Board members would make a decision when they visited Christchurch for the opening of the home later this month, the board said in a letter received by the association last evening. Consideration of a request that former servicewomen be represented on the Christchurch district homes committee had been deferred • until there were former servicewomen in the home, the board advised.
