PARKING COURTESY
Sir,—As a frequent visitor to the central Christchurch business area and driver of a large car, I have had on numerous occasions, a certain amount of trouble*while attempting to park in a metered space. After spotting a space and pulling up forward of it, while backing in (the only way for a large car) I find that some clever person in a smaller car has driven straight into it. Before taking any action against these ignorant and inconsiderate drivers I would like to know: (a) does the traffic department permit these discourtesies? (b) do any of your other readers have these experiences?— Yours, etc., T. P. MORRIS. June 8, 1956.
