' : RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL. ELECTRICITY RESTRICTIONS. CONSEQUENT upon the reduction of power restrictions from 40 per cent, to 20 per cent., the following alterations to the restrictions in the Borough have been made ty the Council’s Electricity Emergency Committee. 1. Evening cuts have been altered to a cut from 11 p.m .-midnight on Mondays. Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. 2. The orohibition on the use of water heaters by consumers with alternative means is removed. Such consumers are. however, requested to still use their alternative systems as much as possible. 3 Water heating hours have been increased The following restrictions are still retained:— 1. Cut of 1 p.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. * 2. Prohibtion on use of electric radiators. 3. Prohibition of outside lighting, both domestic and commercial and including under veranda shop lighting. 4. Present restriction on shop window lighting and interior shop lighting. 5. Prohibition of electric advertising signs. 6. Restricted hours for indoor sports, etc. The Borough got down to its quota for last week (the last under the 40 per cent, cut), and the Committee extends its thanks to consumers for their co-operation and asks for their continued co-operation under the amended restrictions.
