Insurance Rise Further In Expanded Trade
Further gains in the insurance section were a feature of yesterday’s business recorded by the Christchurch Slock Exchange. N.Z. rose Is to sell at 90s and South British gained 6d to sell at 83s.
Ross and Glendining improved strongly in sales at 29s 6d. Smaller gains were made by 1.C.1., A.N.Z., and McKenzies. Booth Macdonald dropped sharply in business at Is 7d. Golden Bay rights and Coles were also weaker.
Turnover exceeded 7000 shares for the first time in three weeks. Five parcels of stock and debentures also changed hands.
