MINISTER’S VISIT TO AUSTRALIA
MR MCALPINE’S PLANS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 8. During his forthcoming visit to Australia, the Minister of Railways (Mr J. K. McAlpine) will go to Sydney. Canberra, and Melbourne, and will make a week-end inspection of the Snowy river hydro-electric scheme. Mr McAlpine will have discussions in Australia on the supply of railway equipment.
He will leave Christchurch by air on Monday, and will return to Christchurch on June 22.
