EDEN PARK BOARD ORDERS DEMOLITION (New Zealand Press Association) , AUCKLAND, June 8. Hundreds of persons who have paid up to £3 a seat to watch the Spring-boks-Auckland match on July 16 from stands adjoining Eden Park may not see the game after all. The Eden Park Board of Control has served notice on owners to pull some of the stands down. • T £ e Y are built at the back houses m Walters road, overlooking the park According to the board of control, some of them encroach on the board’s property. Some of the backyard stands hold more than 50 persons. Attempts by the Rugby Union to “black out” the vantage points by erecting hoardings have been overcome by the householders building their stands higher.
