LIMITED. 31 Lichfield street, Christchurch. 8293 NORTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL ORDER DIRECTING THE MAKING AND LEVYING OF RATES PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the North Canterbury Catchment Board, held in the Chamber of Commerce Library, corner of Oxford terrace and Worcester street. Christchurch, at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 1956. the following resolutions were adopted:— By virtue of the powers contained in the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941. and its amendments, and by virtue of the powers vested.. in it by Orders in Council dated the 13th day of February, 1947, and <he 9th day of October, 1947, as published in the New Zealand Gazette numbers 8 and 59 respectively, the North Canterbury Catchment Board hereby directs (by way of Special Order) that the rates as set out in the Schedule below, shall be made, levied and collected by the several Local Bodies within the limits of whose jurisdiction the Catchment Board District or any Special Rating Area within that district is situate. All such rates shall be for the period commencing - on the Ist day of April. 1956, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1957, and shall be payable in one sum on such date as shall be fixed by the Local Bod’’ making and levying the same respect! vely. SCHEDULE ADMINISTRATIVE RATE An administrative rate of one-twenty-fourth (l-24th) (decimal nought four one seven) of a penny in the pound on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the meaning of the Rating Act. 1925, or its equivalent on the UYiimoroved Value or Annual Value of all rateable property in the North Canterbury Cat.hment Board District as constituted and defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19, dated March 9, 1944, pages 235 and 236. WAIMAKARIRI AREA A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the former Waimakariri River Trust District. (Save and except portion of the Eyre-Cust Special Loan Area and Area 11). On such lands classified in Class “A” Waimakariri a rate of .05 (decimal nought five) of a penny in the pound. On such lands classified in Class “B” Waimakariri a rate of .045 ((decimal nought four five) of a penny in the pound. On such lands classified in Class "C” Waimakariri a rate of .041 (decimal nought four one) of a penny in the pound. EYRE-CUST SPECIAL LOAN AREA A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property in that portion of the district of the former Waimakariri River Trust known as the Eyre-Cust Special Loan On such lands classified in Class “A” a combined rate of .45 (decimal four live) of a penny in the pound. On such lands classified in Class “B”. a combined rate of .39 (decimal three nine) of a penny in the pound. On such lands classified in Class "C" a combined -rate of .34 (decimal three four) ot a penny in the pound. AREA 11 On such property within the County of Rangiora known as Area Eleven (11) a separate rate of .118 (decimal one one eight) of a penny in the pound on Capital Value. ASHLEY AREA A separate rate as set out hereunder for the general purpose of the Board on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the former Ashlev River Trust district On such lands classified in Class “A” a rate of .66 (decimal six six) of a penny in the pound. On such lands classified in Class "B” a rate of .4 (decimal four) of a penny m the pound. ASHLEY AREA—SPECIAL RATE t A special rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the former Ashley River Trust District. On such lands classified in Class "A” a rate of .020 (decimal nought two nought) of a penny in the pound. On such lands classified in Class “F” a rate of .12 (decimal one two) of a penny in the pound. SEFTON ASHLEY DRAINAGE DISTRICT A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the Sefton Ashley Drainace District in the Kowai County. On such lands classified in Class “Aa rate of .33 (decimal three three) of a penny in the pound. On such lands classified in Class "B ’ a rate of .16 (decimal one six), of a nennv in the pound.
