NEW COASTAL VESSEL SQUALL DUE NEXT MONTH Advice has been received by the Canterbury Steam Shipping Company, Ltd., that its new vessel. Squall, success ully ran her sea trials on May 29, and sailed from the Clyde on Tuesday for London The Squall will load cement at London, and is to sail early next week for a South Island port by way of Panama. Thf vessel is expected to arrive in New Zealand about the end of next month. The Squall is built to the same dimen siors as the company’s Calm. She is similar in appearance except that she has a full poon deck instead of a mooring The propelling machinery and the dec’ cockpit aft. The full poop deck will provide improved crew accommodation machinery are similar in all respects tc those of the Calm. On her trials, the Squall’s mean speed was 124 knots.
