OFFICIAL FORECASTS “The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. June 6. The weather fo ecast issued at 9 .p.m. bv the Meteorological Office. Wellington for the 27 hours after the time of issue, is:— Situation:— A trough of low pressure is moving ever New Zealand from the west. Forecast:— Canterbury and Marlborough.— Moderate to fresh northerly winds; some rain during the morning, showers persisting over the ranges during the day. but mainly fair or cloudy elsewhere from midday; moderate temperatures. Outlook: fair.
West Coast.—Moderate to fresh northerly winds; occasional rain, moderate temperatures. Outlook: showery.
CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER
After a frost of 9.2 degrees the day in Christchurch yesterday was fine, with practically no wind. The maximum temperature was 52.1 degrees. At midnight, the sky was clear, and a three-knot northerly wind was blowing. The temperature was 33 degrees. The barometer, at 29.94 inches (1014 millibars), was falling slightly.
