Neville Sellwood has, it is understood, been offered the ride on the New Zealand colt. El Khobar, at his next start, either at Doomben or Eagle Farm. The connexions of the horse are trying now to engage a top-flight rider for the Doomben Ten Thousand. If Sellwood declines, the mount will be offered to J. Thompson. El Khobar came right into the Doomben Ten Thousand market after a runaway win in the first division of' the Hawthorne Encourage Handicap at Eagle Farm on Saturday. It is unlikely that he will receive much weight for the big race, as he is still eligible for trial class.
