PROPOSED SELWYN RIVER CONTROL SCHEME. (a) Applications are invited from persons competent to undertake the classification for rating purposes of lands benefitting from the above proposed works. Remuneration would be on a lump sum or day to day basis, and would be fixed by agreement with the successful applicant. (b) Alternatively* applications are invited for the position of Classifier on a salaried basis for the Selwyn and other future classifications. Applicants should state their experience and qualifications in land valuation and farm management. The appointee under (b) would be required also to undertake other duties, including economic reports on proposed works, supervision of lands vested in the Board and assessment of rentals thereon The Board would be prepared to pay a substantial salary to the right man.
